Typography Portraits

Hi there! Eric and Erica here for the Graphic Design class. This week we were introduced to the idea of typography. This is a method in which art is created using letters and numbers. We chose a head shot picture of ourselves and then utilized the illustrator program to make our portraits.
For our firs show case we will be presenting now only our portraits, but also out patterns that we did a few weeks back. Hope to see everyone there!

AIDS Awareness Day!!!!!!!!!!! =3

Last week our class focused on completing our pattern projects for the AIDS Awareness Celebration that was held at the Cultural Center Dec. 1st, 2009.

It took us two pain-staking weeks for filling in spaces and carrying around giant portfolios that Patricia has become friends with. Lol XD!!!!! --- Each student in our graphic design class had to create different patterns for each shape shown on our tiles using only special black or red pens to mark our designs. When we started to mount our group piece, we finally figured out that all of our tiles resulted in a giant red ribbon in the center of our designs.

When it was time to show our project to the people and students from gallery on Dec.1st, we basically had the best project in show. AWESOMENESS!!!!!! XD---- uh, yeah, so any-who, we have taken photos of it and some of the designs that were use to make this red ribbon possible.

We had a fun and concentrated experience for this outstanding piece of art that the G37 team loved so much and couldn't get enough.
This is Matt and Patricia coming to you live, here on G37: Graphic Design News.
Until then, Ciao!!!!!
